Community urban planner and public participation facilitator based in Montréal. Currently empowering citizens as a freelancer.
Intro
I focus on working with communities to create mutually beneficial relationships between people’s quality of life and their built environment.
Work
As an community urban planner and research consultant, I offer expertise in the fields of urban planning, urban design, and public consultation. I address global trends with a people-focused approach, utilizing empirical analysis to understand how the built environment can promote well-being. I apply this analysis to strategic planning and human-centered design to empower citizens, decision-makers, companies, and organizations.
The study of people’s well-being lays the foundation for my strategic planning and design. My approach is iterative and holistic, but begins with life – activities, user groups, and behavior patterns - before I shape public space and streets to invite for this public life to flourish. It is these characteristics that then inform the design for buildings and infrastructure.
My CV
I’ve held a variety of professional urban planning positions in community, real estate, and design industries, where I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from legislation interpretations to statistical analysis.
In addition, I’ve hosted hundreds of hours of public consultations and have published planning documents and technical studies for various clients and public meetings.
I’m based in Montréal, but available to travel for longer consulting engagements.
