I’m a planner who helps communities, from rural townships to city neighbourhoods, plan the homes and public spaces they actually need.
Work
Most plans start with buildings. Mine start with people. Before I shape a street or a public space, I want to know who uses it and what they’re doing there. I study how people actually live in a place, then design the streets and open spaces around that life. Buildings and infrastructure come last, built to support what’s already working.
I’m a community planner and research consultant, working across urban planning and design and the public consultation that connects the two.
Municipalities, non-profits and private clients bring me in when they want decisions based on evidence rather than assumption.
My CV
I’ve held a variety of professional urban planning positions in community, real estate, and design industries, where I’ve been responsible for delivering everything from legislation interpretations to statistical analysis.
In addition, I’ve hosted hundreds of hours of public consultations and have published planning documents and technical studies for various clients and public meetings.
I’m based in Ottawa, but available to travel for longer consulting engagements.
