the Chinatown Squeeze

Requested by the Chinatown Working Group, our team conducted a Cumulative Effects Assessment (CEA) to record the incremental effects resulting from the combined influences of various real estate developments in the Montréal Chinatown district. In order to measure the social, economic, and cultural value of Chinatown we have opted to conduct a CEA that seeked to account for impacts over a greater temporal and spatial scale and for multiple known, proposed and reasonably foreseeable projects. The report considered more extensive in the scale of attention than project-based assessment.
